Medium roast, washed process. Grown near Mekarsari village in the Mount Tilu pass, this coffee is then transferred to Gambung village where it's processed and prepared for export. While Java isn't known for producing top quality lots, this coffee features clean and sweet chocolatey notes and a surprisingly structured acidity. Although we typically prefer lighter roasts, this coffee is taken a little deeper in order to develop sweetness.

Tasting Notes
Bittersweet notes of torched sugar and molasses mark the aromas on this inky coffee. Flavors of darkened caramel, malted barley and drinking cocoa are marked by a creamy body and a heavy sweetness. Structured acidity like orange zest keeps the coffee lively and quaffable - if you have a chance, it'd make a great, balanced espresso.
