Light roast, washed process. This microlot comes from Masha washing station in Kayanza, northern Burundi. This area produces some very high quality coffees from extremely small farms (think back yards and corner lots planted in coffee). We love the bright acidity and complexity inherent to this region. This lot in particular was sourced as a dual-purpose coffee that works both as a hot offering and as an amazing iced pourover for that summer pick-me-up before you venture out to the beach - or do that yard work you've been putting off.
12oz - 340g
Note: This coffee is whole-bean. We feel this is the best option to preserve freshness, flavor, and aroma. If you need your coffee ground, please choose a grind level option and we'll be happy to grind it accordingly.
Burundi - Kayanza Masha
Tasting Notes
Aromas of red apple and lemon. Tangy citric acidity is balanced with dense, sugary sweetness. Flavors of cooked citrus fruits, spice and raw sugar carry through to a long, complex finish like a dry amber wine.
