Medium roast, washed process. This is a blended lot from the San Ignacio region of Peru. Many smallholder farmers (most of the farms are just 1 or 2 hectares) bring their coffee cherries to the city of Ihuamaca. After depulping the cherries, the seeds are fermented for several days and dried on raised beds. The modern processing methods and high elevation allows for the coffee to boast rich sweetness and a unique complexity that should hit the spot for a wide range of coffee drinkers.

Note: This coffee is whole-bean. We feel this is the best option to preserve freshness, flavor, and aroma. If you need your coffee ground, please choose a grind level option and we'll be happy to grind it accordingly.
Peru San Ignacio Ihuamaca
Tasting Notes
Rich toffee, dark caramel, and sweet stone fruit notes are all very 'Peru', with an added complexity and richness that hints towards cinnamon-candied almonds and chocolate truffles.
