Light roast, natural process. Caffeine sensitive coffee lovers, rejoice!  This microlot from the Doka Estate in Costa Rica is comprised of 100% Laurina varietal, which naturally only has between 30-50% of the caffeine of average arabica varietals. Because caffeine is a natural pesticide, the lack of that chemical makes this varietal notoriously difficult to grow. However, recent agricultural advancements and the rise in popularity of chemical free decaf coffees has put Laurina back under the attention of the specialty coffee market. In the cup, we get delicate fruited florals, smooth acidity, and loads of sweetness - which bodes well for any lover of fine coffee.  We'd put this coffee up against any Central American or African natural.  Whether you're caffeine sensitive or not, this is a must-try coffee.
