Medium roast Sumatran, Kirinci, Kayu Aro Village. The relatively high elevation at which this coffee was grown, along with the care and innovation provided to the plants, soil, and processing makes this coffee drink more like a natural Ethiopian than a typical Indonesian coffee. Honestly, this is one of the best Sumatrans we have ever had, with a clarity and balance not usual found in coffees from this region. This lot was processed using an unusal method; a mixed process hybrid between honey and traditional wet-hull. The coffee was depulped, but left in its mucilage to ferment (honey), then wet-hulled (the traditional Sumatran processing method), before being washed and dried
Note: This coffee is whole-bean. We feel this is the best option to preserve freshness, flavor, and aroma. If you need your coffee ground, please choose a grind level option and we'll be happy to grind it accordingly.
Sumatra - Kirinci Hybrid Honey/Wet-Hulled
Very complex with sugary sweetness throughout. Lots of dried berry notes with lush, winey acidity, hints of fine dark chocolate, stone fruit, and a clean, floral finish.
